I took this pic on one of my visits to Yosemite NP. I couldn’t help but think about that this piece of burnt bark looks exactly like a dragon skin.
Yosemite is a magical place all around. These trees with so beautifully structured bark need the fire to rise from the ashes into new life like the legendary Phoenix. If anywhere, Yosemite is exactly the place where all the fantasy stories come true.
